In 2019, 365 Dry was proud to collaborate with IMG and Rugby World Cup Japan 2019TM to create the World’s first Eco-Friendly Rugby Rain Poncho.
Supporting many worldwide environmental initiatives, including the EU’s 2019 ban on single use plastic, we introduced a superior replacement.
This is the first time a world governing sporting body had elected to champion a sustainable brand. A ground-breaking move by RWC to offer fans a sustainable alternative was well received. Fans loved it, with over 250 sold every day in the build up to, and during the games.
We repurposed over 1,000,000 plastic bottles in 2019 and in partnership with international rugby teams and their sponsors, we continue to aim higher.
To eradicate the single use plastic poncho from the market by educating our consumers and offering clubs sustainably produced, digitally-printed and technically superior alternatives in their bespoke team colours, that will stand the test of time.
The effect that pollution is having on our planet is still undetermined, though the need for drastic changes have already begun.
Single-use plastic products are often used for as little as a few minutes or just for the duration of an event and then discarded, taking hundreds of years to break down while they continue to pollute throughout their decomposition.
Stadiums, sponsors and professional sports teams can influence change and make a difference.
